Stalking Jack the Ripper by Kerri Maniscalco
My rating: 2 of 5 stars
MY EXPERIENCE WITH THE BOOK:
This was an interrupted read for me, so excuse the reading dates. Overall, I couldn’t engage with this.
CHARACTERS/DYNAMICS:
– honestly… who cares
PLOT:
– this book was dull the entire time. Maybe mysteries aren’t for me. I enjoy watching them, but reading them feels stale.
STRUCTURE:
– if you like the pacing of Miss Peregrine, as well as the BNW images, you’re going to enjoy this.
THEMES:
– feminism
– … medical… stuff
THE ENDING:
I do like how it wrapped up. I wasn’t expecting the sequels to continue with the same characters. This disappoints me, but I find Dracula more intriguing than Jack the Ripper.
IMPACT:
Yes hi I will probably need to reread this when I’m in the mood, but for now: nope I did not enjoy a single moment.
Hope you read a better one today x

Definitely. But don’t force yourself through it if you find that you’re still not enjoying it!
The second book, Hunting Prince Dracula, is my favourite one so far.
