I blog about one book per week that has been on my wishlist for some time, or just added, that I can’t wait to get off the wishlist and onto my wonderful shelves!
I told my mum, by Christmas last year, that I’d own every instalment of the Outlander series (spoiler alert: I haven’t even thought about buying them since last August).
I am super keen to finally read this brilliant series, and I think I will for my future long plane trip. I could read the entire series in one plane trip, right?
If you haven’t already heard from the shrilling women who have the hots for Scots, allow me to introduce you to the phenomenon called Outlander (also a TV series):
Outlander (Outlander #1) by Diana Gabaldon
The year is 1945. Claire Randall, a former combat nurse, is just back from the war and reunited with her husband on a second honeymoon when she walks through a standing stone in one of the ancient circles that dot the British Isles. Suddenly she is a Sassenach—an “outlander”—in a Scotland torn by war and raiding border clans in the year of Our Lord…1743.
Hurled back in time by forces she cannot understand, Claire is catapulted into the intrigues of lairds and spies that may threaten her life, and shatter her heart. For here James Fraser, a gallant young Scots warrior, shows her a love so absolute that Claire becomes a woman torn between fidelity and desire—and between two vastly different men in two irreconcilable lives.
If you want to see why you should jump in the bandwagon of craziness, check out these two hilarious rants by two popular booktubers:

Oh my goooood!!
So what I know is:
1. Time travel from c. WW2, back to hot Scottish men
2. Two of my friends stopped watching it bc there was some borderline abuse/BDSM going on
3. Lots of smut but hey everybody from booktubers to my mum loves it
4. Every booktuber is obsessed and mention it nearly as much as ACOMAF.
5. I love me some ACOMAF. I’m ready for anything equally as intense.
Watch the Booktube videos I linked– but none of the spoilery bits!! Just see their excitement 🙂
Wanna read the series together this year?
