The Sun Is Also a Star by Nicola Yoon
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
3.5/5 stars.
I found Natasha EXTREMELY ANNOYING at the beginning.
Everything about these two had me like: WOW. OKAY. YOU’RE SPECIAL SNOWFLAKES. YOU’RE ALTERNATIVE. CONGRATS.
This is a pretentious piece of shit. Like all of John Green’s books SQUARED.
I did appreciate the diversity by the end of it, and I was really satisfied with the ending. It reminded me of Eleanor & Park.
I had 0 expectations when I started this book. I’d seen it on my feed, and I saw the audiobook was available from my library.

I need to change my review. I read it 3 months ago, and I actually think of it a lot more fondly. I remember (listening to it, as an audiobook) smiling a lot when I was CR it.
But the start IS super pretentious– thanks for your thoughts!

Hahaha, you’re so right! It’s so John Greene-esque.
